HOW WAVE Ventilation WORKS
STEP 1
Cool moist air is heavy and will gravitate to the lowest point, namely to the basement of the house. The basement floor is also cold and will condense when in contact with moisture seeping in or coming down. In poorly ventilated areas, the damp air stagnates and creates an environment conducive to mold growth, structural damage and discomfort.
When a WAVE Ventilation is installed and operating, this stale, humid, contaminated air is drawn to the bottom vents of the unit by a highly precisioned, powerful, yet quiet ventilation fan. This is the distinct uniqueness and effectiveness of WAVE Ventilation, in that it is directing the effort to the source of the problem and where it persists.
STEP 2
The moist, polluted heavier air is drawn into the powerful, quiet patented WAVE Ventilation system. It is then expelled to outside of the house through a 6" duct - similar to a clothes dryer. This flushed out contaminated air is then replaced with a flow of relatively drier, warmer and fresher air drawn downward from the upper levels. The interior air is then replaced with cleaner, fresher outdoor air entering the home naturally via windows, doors, cracks, etc. The warmer replenishment air raises the surface temperature which lowers relative humidity. WAVE Ventilation continues to expel this moist air until the desired preset humidity level is reached. The unit never shuts off, thus maintaining a constant airflow which prevents dangerous stagnation.
STEP 3
Unit is automatically controlled by an adjustable humidistat that regulates the flow of air. When the desired level of humidity is achieved, the fan will reduce speed. It will resume a higher speed if humidity level increases. The direct effect of the air being expelled and the flow of air downwards, creates an air exchange of approximately 10 times a day. As the moisture is drawn off the surface, the moisture absorbed in the walls and floor comes to the surface and is then expelled. In addition to reducing humidity, this reduces mold growth and mildew by not allowing the moist air to stagnate and nurture them.
WAVE Ventilation Controls Humidity Throughout Your Entire House
Eliminate buckets of water and filters!
The unit automatically monitors the relative humidity and adjusts the ventilation rate. The fan expels the moist air and automatically goes to a minimal speed, after it has reduced the relative humidity to the desired level. Unlike a conventional dehumidifier, you are not separating the water molecules in the air. WAVE Ventilation expels the excess moist air which is replaced with fresh air. WAVE Ventilation is also virtually maintenance free, which means you don’t have to change any filters or empty any water buckets.
Get the good air in and the bad air out!
Once the contaminated air is expelled from the home it is replaced with a flow of drier and fresher air. This cleaner, fresher outdoor air is drawn downward from the upper levels where it enters the home naturally.
Professional Installation
WAVE Ventilation is installed professionally, as per company specifications, to maximize ventilation and moisture control. WAVE Ventilation installs neatly and cleanly, venting to the outside of the home using a small 6" duct - similar to a clothes dryer. The stand-alone dedicated vent requires no complicated tie-ins with existing air systems. All ductwork is hidden behind the bright white frame of the unit, which has a lifetime guarantee against rust and corrosion. A small durable louver is affixed to the outside of the home, allowing moisture and toxins to be expelled. The result is a professional look for years to come
